GeckoFlag Version 1.8.0 is now available. This update expands the features of the Kanban board and the issue screens.
What's New in 1.8.0
New features
- Image attachments — You can now attach images to issues and comments.
- Attach them from the issue create and edit screens and from the comment form.
- Each image can be up to 5 MB, and you can attach up to 10 at a time by selecting multiple files. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP.
- An “Attached Images” panel has been added to the issue screen, where you can view thumbnails, preview images and delete them.
- Comments list the file names of their images as links; click one to open the preview.
- You can also post a comment that contains only images, with no text.
- Comment deletion — The person who posted a comment and administrators can now delete it.
- A deleted comment is shown as “This comment has been deleted.”
- Changes made with the comment, such as to the status or due date, are not undone, and the record of those changes remains.
- Kanban drag and drop — You can now change an issue's status by dragging its card. This is available on PC only.
- The status change is recorded as a comment.
- Issues whose status is “Not set” are now also shown on the board.
- Notify me of all comments — A “Notify me of all comments on issues in projects I participate in” setting has been added to the profile.
- Gantt chart — The personal Gantt chart now shows all issues in the projects you participate in, with the assignee's name.
- A “Hide completed issues” checkbox has been added to both the personal Gantt chart and “All Projects Gantt”.
Security
- Private storage — Attached images and files in the “Files” feature are now stored outside the public folder.
- People who are not members of the project cannot open them, even if they know the URL.
- Existing files are moved to the new location automatically when you update.
Bug fixes and improvements
- Fixed a bug where “Change Status” in the comment area was not applied when the status or priority was “Not set”.
- Fixed an issue where uploaded files remained on the server after a project was deleted.
- The storage usage on the Settings screen now includes “Files” and attached images.
- The installer's environment check now also verifies folder write permissions.
